Yule Brooms & Garlandry
with Amy Lou Taylor Sunday November 27 ~ 12:30 - 4:30 pm Space is Limited Please join Amy Taylor, owner of TAoTaT's Mystic Tearoom for a fun afternoon of learning about why we love brooms and why we use the greenery we do at this time of year!! Then we will all make a hand whisk and broom and decorate them for the Yuletide season to come! We all do it to some extent, decorate our homes and businesses with Yule trees, cedar boughs, pine and fir wreaths etc. Have you ever wondered where those traditions came from? How about the metaphysical properties of those greens we use? What other purposes do they all have. How about your brooms? Did you know that they do more than just clean your floors? A broom, in some traditions, is a tool which is used to cleanse a sacred space of negative energies. You can do the same for your home for the upcoming Holiday season with some of your yuletide greens made into a mystical broom! We will use greenery, and some other goodies and create our own Yuletide Brooms for our homes over the holidays! The best part is, you can use these all year long!! Hope you can join me for this fun event. I promise you, you won’t look at any of your brooms, or holiday greens the same way ever again! Investment: $100 All supplies are provided, bring a notepad if you would like to take notes. Space is limited so pre-registering for this afternoon will be required. |
